My brother Glen said we had to see the Seattle Locks, so we Did!!! …………
Actually he did tell us and we did see it, but how we came to see it was just not that straight forward as it sounds. Staci is directing us on a drive about Seattle, similar to a walk about, Just explore and have fun, When looking at the Map she says I have no Idea where we are. We aren’t looking for anything in particular, but it would be nice to know where we are lost. So I pull over and lo and behold I say hey isn’t that the Seattle Locks Glen told us about that we have to see. Turns out they were. So our new motto for adventure might be drive around, get lost, pullover and Wa La where ever you are, you are there. Adventure’s here we come
Staci just asked me do you think they would let us touch their boat and we are both smiling about it. This boat did lead us to another adventure and almost another Voyage as well, described in one of the Anacortes, San Juan island Posts.
The Locks take all sizes of boats and Kayaks as seen in the background of the main photo. What you don’t see in photos is that on the far side they have a very elaborate fish ladder system where the freshwater and saltwater meet for all kinds of Fish and a huge viewing area so you can actually see them and a person there answering all your questions as well. So glad we found it with our new adventure finding system. We enjoy seeing and learning new things all the time.
