The Natural Rock Arch Adventure, Wyoming – July 25th 2017

Well Staci said there was this cool Natural Rock Arch on the Way to Fort Laramie. Let’s go I said So we pulled off the Highway, drove down this dirt road, When wham construction roadblock. They said it could be possibly a 1/2 hour or more wait. Well Staci said we can catch this on the way back home. So off we went to return later or not. Ooooh is a mystery building here. Ohhh the photo is of scenery on the way to Natural Rock Arch.

While driving to Rock Arch Staci goes what is that? She grabs her phone to take a photo and zoom in to see what it is. Can you see it on the hill.

Wait it is the very elusive Jackalope. Rarely seen and even more rarely photographed. But here it is in all it’s glory caught by my Baby. We of course have been offered Money for the photo, but no Staci wanted everyone to enjoy it for Free.

So we turn off the Highway the elusive Jackalope now in the past and we start down the dirt road to the Natural Rock Arch. Great the construction crew has gone home. Should be smooth sailing. We head up this small hill and over it when Holy Cow the road is now so bad we switch into 4 wheel drive. Yea that bad. We almost get stuck a few times and Staci says it can’t be that far now. Famous last words because it got worse right away and went on forever it seemed. On and on, spinning tires, swerving from one side of the road to the other, we were on a mission to see this Natural Rock Arch, Staci is encouraging me saying we can do this. Right up to the GATE and SIGN that says it is closed due to ROAD CONSTRUCTION. Really, you have got to be kidding me. We just drove on a pretty hairy road for 45 minutes. No way, we are walking to it. Staci agreed and off we went till the road stopped and we had no idea where the Rock Arch it might be. Wait we can make our our own road. Nottt, That’s when the Rain, Lightning, Thunder and Wind came.  So this is a photo once we got back to the Truck and you all can see the Natural Rock Arch right there. Right, Righttttt, good. Stupid Road!  But as Staci says we will always have memories about it, yeah I think nightmares about it might be a better description. Thus the Natural Rock Arch Adventure of 2017. Hey on the Plus side when we left, we went to Red Lobster to Celebrate being Alive. Because as my Daughters say “We always Celebrate at Red Lobster.”
